Pakistan has most liberal investment policy in region: Senator Waqar Ahmed Khan;
Federal Minister for Investment Waqar Ahmed Khan said that Pakistan is pursuing the most liberal investment policy in the South Asian region.

New trade policy on July 29;
Commerce Minister Makhdoom Amin Fahim will unveil 2009-10 Trade policy on July 29 after the formal approval of the Federal Cabinet. "We are giving final touches to the trade policy, which will be placed before the Federal Cabinet on July 29," said one of the officials of the Commerce Ministry. A presentation would be given to Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on July 24 instead of July 20 as was planned before, said the official.

Govt. working hard to get rid of loadshedding: Pervez Ashraf;
Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervez Ashraf said that the government is working on war footing basis to get rid of loadshedding in the country. He said the country is still facing gap between demand and supply in power generation. To fill the gap, the government has initiated many power projects which would be completed by the end of current year.

Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project: delay in execution causing $5 million daily loss: Dr. Asim;
Dr Asim Hussain, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Petroleum and Natural Resources has said the delay in the execution of Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline project is causing Pakistan a loss of $5 million per day. Briefing the media on oil pricing formula for petroleum products he said the import of 750 Mmcfd of natural gas from Iran would support 4,600 MW of power generation in the country.

The domestic tourists reaching mountainous Gilgit-Baltistan from all over country have thronged area and occupancy in local hotels have increased significantly, compared to previous years, Hotel Association said.
